I've been using Openrsi on kernel 2.6 for a while, and been very happy. Crossepg, os**m experimental, pingflood keymap and webif worked very well. Recordings worked but had some issues now and then. Also standby issue wheren't a case for me. But suddenly the Crossepg didn't work anymore, and Os*'m experimental 1.20 didn't start anymore. Tried to reinstall from Openrsi feeds, but now the experimental isn't listed anymore 
Then i tried to install the newest Openrsi 3.0, but after a few minutes the box freezes if hdmi signal isn't active, and box just stops in starting e2 cyclus. Cog wheels in top left corner over the New openrsi image for unlimited time. What would be the best solution for me to obtain the minimum functions I listed for the 2.6 kernel image?
